Our Parent Training for Communication & Life Skills is designed for parents and guardians of secondary students who are developing essential skills for independence. This training provides practical strategies to help students generalize (transfer) communication and life skills from structured settings to everyday life at home and in the community.
What We Focus On:
✅ Functional Communication – Encouraging verbal and nonverbal communication, making choices, and self-advocacy
✅ Daily Living Skills – Building independence in hygiene, meal preparation, and personal organization
✅ Community Participation – Practicing safety awareness, handling money, and navigating public spaces
✅ Behavior & Social Skills – Supporting positive interactions, routines, and problem-solving
